Who knows what’s going on in the world these days? I would’ve thought that we’d be taking steps forward instead of leaps backward. During times like these, it’s easy to get into a spiral of negativity, gloom, and doom.
However…
Instead of focusing on the negative, we should do what we can to make our own positive impact in the world. Play our part in making the world a little better each and every day.
This illustration by Austin Kleon says it best.
The words are by Laurie Anderson, taken from the “Producers” episode of Meet The Composers:
“The world may end. You’re right. But that’s not a reason to be scared. None of us know what will happen. Don’t spend time worrying about it. Make the most beautiful thing you can. Try to do that every day. That’s it. You know? What are you working for, posterity? We don’t know if there is any posterity.”
Things will get better. They just have to.
