I’m one of those people that think that the elderly are extremely cute. Especially elderly couples lovingly taking strolls in parks. Definitely an ‘aww’ moment, considering how long they’ve actually been together. However, despite being cute as a button, perhaps they should not take up painting as a hobby. Some of them at least. One in particular…
A piece of art by a 19th century painter Elías García Martínez titled ‘Ecce Homo’ was donated to the Centro de Estudios Borjanos in Spain by his generous granddaughter. The forementioned painting was their prized possession, an extremely rare piece of art. As seen in the middle picture, the painting started to decay after a while. Octogenarian neighbour comes to the rescue and decides to restore the picture!
The plan was to grab the painting without permission, restore it to it’s original glory and return it to the delight of everyone around. Mission clearly failed horribly (see final product) and she admitted that “she had gotten a little out of hand”. Poor distressed woman with nothing but good intentions.
