On April 21, 2016, people around the world mourned the loss of the much-loved American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, and actor – Prince. There were tributes made, live music played, and even some public grieving amongst fans of the legendary musician who has released 40 studio albums to date. That is quite the achievement in one’s life.
“I’d never seen anything like it in my life, someone so blatantly challenging the ideas of race and gender and sexuality. In a way, it was comparable to David Bowie, except that Prince brought that to the black community.” – Edward Enninful, Creative Director of W Magazine
I loved this illustration series from artist Gary Card. It seems to capture the trends set by Prince over the years and is the perfect tribute to Prince’s life and impact on modern culture.
A handmade touch always makes things just a little bit better.
