Elf on the Shelf

December 21, 2015 By Shermaine Leave a Comment

IT’S CHRISTMAS WEEK!
DAY 1/7

I take this time of year very seriously. Appropriate attire and behaviours include reindeer ears, whistling of Christmas tunes, festive socks, decorative baubles on desks, ugly sweaters, and most importantly – smiles on faces. My poor colleagues have been dealing with endless Christmas music blasting from my speakers.

There will be one Christmas-related post for you each and every day of this week. I hope that this will sprinkle some extra festive spirit your way.

To begin with, here is an adorable father-son collaboration. I’ve never understood the whole ‘Elf on the Shelf’ obsession – until I saw this…

We have never had an ‘Elf on the Shelf’ in our home, but the idea has always intrigued me — parents letting elves in their homes to watch their kids and cause mischief…Then one day someone told us that Rockwell looked like an elf and idea came to me. What if a real life elf came to live with us for the holidays and how would I react in real life to having it show up to live with us.”

Too sweet – check out the series he did for his first son Wil as well. If this show of love (with a hint of fun and serious creative playfulness) doesn’t encourage you have have a kid of your own, I don’t know what will!
