Yes, Zonkey: a rare crossbreed between a zebra and a donkey. This particular one was born in Italy last year, the only one of her kind in the country. News coming a little late I know...but news that must be shared. Martin the Zebra had a strange love for Giada the donkey next to his enclosure and jumped the fence to get closer - the result was an awkwardly adorable zonkey called Ippo. Too . . .
Baby Naps
Here's a little heartwarming tidbit to get you through your Wednesday. Seeing a toddler is cute enough. Spotting a puppy makes you want to run over and pick it up. Having both of them in one photo? Can feel myself melting a little... Mother of three Jessica Shyba (aka mommasgonecity) has just released an adorable series of photos. They recently adopted a little boxer/shepherd/lab mix from SPCA . . .
Surreal World
Caras Ionut lives in a world away from our own, where he comes up with brilliant surreal landscapes and portraits using his own photography...and Photoshop. We've seen what it can do for celebrities and models, but this just takes it to a different level. Here are a few of my favourites: via 500px. . . .
Frozen in Time
It's strange how we see a real-life situation and relate them back to movies we have previously watched - Hollywood tends to have that effect on us. Mid-week Madness
Well, happy hump day! . . .
Flying Lenses
Vintage cameras and wings. What more could you ask for. I have always had a minor obsession with vintage cameras. Can I use them? No. But I think that they look wonderful and have always fascinated me - note to those who are (for some strange reason) attempting to make a good impression. As for wings, the blog name should say it all... Paul Octavious clearly likes those two things as well, and . . .
A Long List
Someone sent this to me today, and I thought it was the funniest thing I've seen in a while. Just wanted to share... Boys. . . .
Ten Happy Facts
ONE. Otters hold hands while sleeping so they don't float apart. TWO. Norway once knighted a penguin - his full name is Colonel-in-Chief Sir Nils Olav. THREE. Blind people smile despite having never seen someone smile before. It is just a natural human reaction. FOUR. The voice of Mickey Mouse and the voice of Minnie Mouse got married in real life. FIVE. If you fake laugh long enough, you'll . . .
The Weekend
This definitely sounds like mine. Hope you all have a wonderful one! Source unknown. . . .
Treasure Hunters
Amazing. French artist Hubert Duprat chooses a unexpected medium to work with – insects. Caddis fly larvae to be specific. These small winged insects create protective cases spun from silk and substances such as grains of sand, plant material, bits of fish bone or crustacean shell. However, the larvae are remarkably adaptable and if other suitable materials are introduced into their environment, . . .
