When things get busy, it's hard to find the time to sit down and start drawing. Once in a while, you need a little inspiration and when I see things like this...it certainly works magic on my motivation. Throughout Angela Chan's notebook are beautifully detailed hand-drawn patterns. There's something about patterns that is so therapeutic...and suddenly the world seems bright and shiny . . .
Mirrored Geometry
Witchoria (aka. Brooklyn-based graphic designer Victoria Siemer) created a series of photographs which blends geometric shapes into natural landscapes to produce fragmented reflections within each image. The lines between reality and fiction are blurred as the elements start to blend into each other. A beauty that is created based on nature and the constructs of photo manipulation . . .
Balls of Colour
What are these curiously coloured circles - a newly discovered planet or perhaps some flavoured candy? You'll be surprised to find out that these are actually the insides of golf balls. This series of photos were taken by Ohio–based photographer James Friedman (who ironically does not play golf). However, curious to find out more about the unknown, he cut golf balls in half to see what the core . . .
