Not exactly the well-known 'Got Milk?' campaign but close enough...these images use the same dairy product. Jaroslav Wieczorkiewicz published three awesome projects on Behance, showing photo-manipulations of models with dresses made of milk. A little eyecandy for the men; the details are brilliant. For those in London and would like to learn the tricks of the trade, there's a 2-day MILK . . .
Light It Up
Industrial lighting. Something we all can't get enough of. So...here I am to quench our thirst. Take note all of you new home owners, or those in need of a renovation & change in surroundings. via Honestly WTF . . .
Painted Faces
Okay, so what do you see...a couple of painted faces, no big deal. Something that you'd easily see at a children's fair. Much simpler than what they do over there at the World Bodypainting Festival (AMAZING, see my post on it here). Now here's the good part: Yes indeed. The previous images were not actually photographs but instead, hyper realistic oil paintings by Eloy Morales, a Spanish . . .
Hot Dogs
It's a cold day (just like every other day) - but this warms the heart a little. Adorable. This group of dogs and puppies are definitely feeling the winter despite their thick fur - some restaurant staff allow them to huddle round a staff canteen stove in Jiulongjiang Forest Park, Rucheng County in China. On really cold days, the puppies bark non-stop until the stove is lit. They then stand . . .
Eat a Cactus
How adorable are these cactus cupcakes? And just when I thought that my adoration for succulents couldn't get any higher... via Alana Jones-Mann (with instructions) . . .
The Real Toy Story
"Made in China" - words that we're all too familiar with. Most of the time, the only reason that detracts us from purchase after seeing that label is worrying about the poor quality, and that our shiny new purchase will fall apart after three uses. Perhaps there is another (much better) reason to consider... Hong Kong-based photographer Michael Wolf's photo series “The Real Toy Story” is a photo . . .
Gods of Digital, Daft Punk
Daft Punk is amazing. They made us wait eight years between albums, but a worthwhile wait it was once Random Access Memories was released. They were cool back even when EDM was not considered the best thing to play at a club - now you can't avoid it even if you try. The thing about Daft Punk...is that even if one guy decides to retire and do something else, we would never know. Daft Punk will . . .
Defying Gravity
No, not the great song from the even greater musical, Wicked. I’m referring to another act of science in this case. Colarado-based land artist Michael Grab patiently stacks pieces of rocks in his free time to create a whole bunch of gravity-defying rock structures. Not exactly sure how he manages these, but his series “Gravity Glue” is quite the feat I’d say. "If not observed carefully, one small . . .
Sweet Tuesdays
Work has been frustrating of late. It has just one of those weeks... I wouldn't mind one of these as a sweet Tuesday pick-me-up. Coconut Milk Ice Cream with a Pistachio Crumb and Blueberries: via Top With Cinnamon (recipe included) . . .
Brew a Love Potion
Do love potions exist? I’m not sure, but I do know that one of my relatives’ domestic helpers was once fired as she was caught making some sort of love potion for my uncle. How they knew what it was, I have no clue. Whether it had some sort of witchy-type craft associated with it or if it’s just fluff & fairy dust, I also have no clue. But if love potions look like this… …perhaps I should . . .
