Here’s one about a fellow Aussie – Elisa Mazzone is a talented art director, illustrator and an avid fan of all things beautiful. Now based in London, she creates gorgeous visual landscapes and keepsakes, weaving mediums together with allegorical needle and thread.
She explores the female form through her choice of colours, shapes and flowing lines. Purposely unfinished, the illustrations have an air of whimsy and mystery to them – and gives a hint that there’s more to each subject than meets the eye. The observer is left to imagine their own final piece.
“Her watercolor and pencil fashion and beauty illustrations have a delicate vulnerability mixed with a feminine strength.” – Katie Perrot, Agent, The Illustration Room
Elisa’s work has been featured in various exhibitions around the world, as well as magazines. She has worked together with clients such as Harper’s Bazaar, Jimmy Choo, L’Oreal, Madison, Free People and Amazon.
If she had once piece of advice for young artists, it would be “Perseverance. Embrace your flaws, work with them and make them part of your signature.”
