I have been neglecting this space for a little while now. Would like to blame it on the cold weather which made my hands freeze; -9 degrees that according to the weather forecast felt like -17 degrees. Shanghai has an odd sort of cold - the humid type that leaks into your bones no matter how many layers you're wearing. Evidence: My heater also broke down during the coldest weekend in 35 . . .

Being the first day back from our week-long public holiday (I love China!), we definitely needed some colour in our day. ...and I certainly found it when I came across the rebranding of London-based design agency Dalziel&Pow. Their logo was first created 15 years ago and it was finally time for a fresh new look, so they made it all about bright colours, patterns, and expressive . . .
Hip Hop Dudes
These little guys are so great. Created by graphic design studio FOREAL and inspired by hiphop culture, their hairstyles and styles are reminiscent of the rappers across a range of different eras. They bring back memories of the days when I was driving around in my yellow Celica with blonde streaks in my hair, blasting R&B and hiphop from burnt CDs. A time . . .
