ABSOLUT’ly Open Canvas

June 27, 2013 By Shermaine Leave a Comment

ABSOLUT does not just create awesome ads: It also creates awesome campaigns. “Transform Today” happened in Williamsburg last weekend, turning an entire block of North 6th Street into an interactive display of some of New York's finest creative talent. Freshly painted white facades were reworked, grafitti artists gave live demonstrations in alleyways, and there was a display of storefront . . .

June 20, 2013 By Shermaine Leave a Comment

This was awesome. And not just coz i'm a bit of a nerd and love staying at home with the company of a good (paper) book every once in a while. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Np450xMSncE&feature=player_embedded It took 2,131 books, 27 volunteers, 7 hours and 5 failed attempts to complete - but the Seattle Public Library has set a new world record for the longest book domino . . .

Their Story

May 31, 2013 By Shermaine Leave a Comment

A little something closer to my heart, that I hope will add a pinch of cute to your Friday morning. Just the other night, a close friend of mine proposed. Plenty of thought, loads of love and months of preparation went into this one. The lucky girl was asked to watch a "private screening of the Great Gatsby" at a local cinema but little did she know, this was what she saw . . .

Time for Fireworks

CHINESE NEW YEAR. That time of year has come around again. When family reunites, the feasting never ends, houses turn into gambling dens, there are flashes of red and gold everywhere, mandarins are passed around, the same way-too-happy songs are played, lion dancers prance about, and red packets are received from all directions. This year, everyone welcomed the Year of the Snake. The people here . . .

MERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU! https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=isPm79xTzM4 A Christmas wish from the true ballers... Christmas was a little unconventional. We made our way to work, spotted some skinny santas, and had roast chicken instead of turkey. A wonderful one nonetheless. I hope that you all enjoyed yours too! . . .

VS 2012: A Sneak Peak

November 18, 2012 By Shermaine Leave a Comment

I love Victoria's Secret fashion shows. Yes, so does the rest of the world. Quite impressive how the lingerie brand has created quite the following despite the fact that the store is leaning on the edge of the tacky and the pieces are actually quite mid-range. But throw in some incredibly hot women, blown kisses, wings and sparkles in the mix and they successfully manage to put together quite the . . .

Let me just make you all aware of this event they call the 2012 European Beard and Moustache Championships held in Wittersdorf, France. Over 100 men with the wildest whiskers entered the competition with curled moustaches, brushed beards and faces adorned with eccentric designs obtained through some intense primping, styling and blow drying. I thought that the poodles were bad, this is . . .
